Here are some of the programs we support in major ways:
Yadkinville Elementary School: We have taken the giant leap of faith of telling Yadkinville Elementary School that we will help every child at the school that has a need for clothing, shoes, supplies, or food. We have already helped hundreds of kids and stand ready to help all who are in need.
School Supplies: This year we gave away over 80 backpacks filled with school supplies to kids in our county who couldn't afford them. We're doing all we can to make sure that kids in our county are taken care of.
Yadkin Christian Ministries: Each year we do two large food collections to help feed those with nothing to eat. We also raise thousands of dollars to enable them to buy medicine, pay electric bills, give them emergency money, and do much more for those in desperate need. Several of our members actively volunteer at YCM throughout the year.
Free Dental Clinic: This year we did our first ever free dental clinic for our county. We served almost 100 people and have over 75 volunteers from our own churhc. It was an incredible day and something we'll do again soon.
New Hope Pregnancy Center: Our work with the New Hope Pregnancy Center allows us to do all we can to help young women who are having babies and do not have a lot of financial support. We collect diapers, clothes, baby food, and much more for the center, as well as support them financially. Our old parsonage is their new Center.
Angel Tree Program: Every Christmas we collect hundreds of new toys to give to disadvantaged children through the Angel Tree program. What a joy it is to see our church filled with bicycles, Barbie dolls, soccer balls, and more. It's a great feeling to know that even the poorest kids will receive something under the Christmas tree. This year we'll help almost 100 kids.
ESL Program: Each year we make lots of school supply boxes for the ESL students at Yadkinville Elementary School. We love doing all we can to partner with our local schools.
AA, NA, and Scouts: We are honored to be able to support several Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous groups at our church, as well as boy scouts, girl scouts, and cub scout groups.
