Sunday Night Studies Fall 2008

Disciple I Bible Study

Disciple is a life-changing study where 12 people meet together for 1 1/2 hours each week for 26 weeks (we’ll start in September and end in April, taking off about a month at Christmas).  Through our studies, we will cover over 70% of the Bible.  The great thing about Disciple is that we have fun while we are learning.  We’ll often play games like Disciple Jeopardy to help us remember what we have learned.  Each week we’ll have plenty of time to discuss the things we are reading so that we can learn from and challenge each other.  Since the class is made up of the same 12 people each week, the group becomes very close to one another.  Many life-long friendships have been made through Disciple classes.   Pastor Scott and Keith Phillips will teach this class.

Spiritual Reading Group

Pastor Patty will lead this class that does reading from a different spiritual or theological titan each week and then discuss how it impacts our lives.  This will be a class that helps us apply our faith to our daily lives.  If you love to read, this would be a great class for you.

Companions in Christ “The Way of Prayer”

This class is designed to work to expand  one’s understanding of the nature and practice of prayer. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the discipline of prayer and be in great fellowship with one another.

The 24/7 Christian: Live Out Your Faith In All Areas of Your Life

This class will last for 4 weeks and will cover the topics of Prayer/Meditation, Christian nutrition, Health and fitness, and Stress and Time Management.  There are more details about this class on the info board in the commons.  Jennifer Johnson will lead this class.

Youth Program
Our awesome youth group will meet in the youth room for an incredible time of faith, fun, and fellowship.  We'll start with a meal each week   Stay tuned for lots more details about our youth program.

Kids Grades K—6th Grade
We’ll meet in Connie’s classroom for theme nights.  Each night we’ll have a different theme including pajama party night, craft night, game night, and much more.  A schedule of these themes will be sent to all children who sign up.
A nursery will be available for all classes.
